I was ten years old when I bought my first camera for 50 cents at a garage sale. I spent the rest of the day and a whole roll of film photographing my brothers and sisters, our collie Candy, all our baby bunnies, and the woods and foliage surrounding  our Wisconsin country home.

Thus commenced my fascination for photography.

I grew up, married a soldier and five short months into our newly-wedded blissful life he said goodbye to me and flew across seas to spend a year-long deployment in the desert sands of Iraq. Bored, sad and lonely, I took my photography hobby to the next level that year.

I have studied the art of photography and researched the work of countless photographers. 2009-2010 I had the opportunity to work as a studio photographer, gaining invaluable hands-on knowledge and experience.

I'm a natural light photographer. I use very little lighting equipment, simply because I prefer to work with the light available. It makes it possible to capture life as real and momentous as you know it.

My goal during portrait sessions is to make it as comfortable, relaxed and fun as possible for you and me. It's about being yourself, making memories, being a little wacky and preserving those moments forever.

I’m a sucker for details, and I have found photography to be an awesome way to capture all sorts of big and little details in life.

I love being a photographer.
